Although I am the south
and your daisies are the north,
my petals are no less than shooting stars,
for have you not said a flower is a flower?
Tell me then, why must I perish?
I try my best at glamour,
yet I am still nothing to you
compared to roses.
Tell your gardener to go;
we are not friends, he and I.
His hands are the devil,
and his jars hold the devil's heart.
As summer grows old,
he rains the devil's tears among us.
Although you may say a flower is a flower,
what is a dandelion among a bouquet of roses?

A walk through the woods
I was walking alone in the woods one day when I happened upon a strange sight. An old man out of place among the new shoots muttering something to himself. Normally I would have run from such a strange man, but for some reason I instead felt compelled to speak with him and ask him my questions.
So I did.
"Who are you?" I asked when I came close enough for him to hear me.

I'll wipe off your tears
Trust me when I say this, everything will be alright
I’ll be here, to comfort you every moment of your life
Cry on my chest if you like, only if it lets you feel right
Because I will always be here, right by your side
I know some things can be unexpected,
And sometimes the bad can’t be evaded
But I’ll try my best, so you can be able to rest
And I’ll try my best to relieve you from stress
Because I care too much to leave you with pain
It tears my heart to see you like this again
You’ve told me to step back, but it's too sad and tiring
I promise you, this will be the last time you’ll be crying

The Nothings
The Nothings
Once upon a time there were somethings.
Somethings where the little girl with the pigtails would come bouncing home talking to her mother about what she did at school today, how was her friend Jimmy, and oh! she almost forgot her crayons, but luckily Emily was there to remind her.
She would prattle on and on delightedly while her mother listened, her euphoria taking her higher than the moon.
***
She insisted on acting "grown up".
She would sit, straight and stark, and never forget to keep her elbows off the table and her napkin on her lap. She would always say "yes, ma'am," , "no, ma'am,", "thank you very, very muchly," and
